Easy Insight—Giving Panton McLeod Limited the Confidence for Greater Success

As a small but growing business, Panton McLeod Limited had little management visibility before discovering Easy Insight. “The main reason for looking for something was our increased use and dependence on Highrise at the time, and the requirement to report on our sales in that [system],” said Jim Panton, the chief executive at Panton McLeod Limited. “At the same time we had a collection of data from in-house databases and spreadsheets (including cashflow tracking) that we realized that we could collate and import into Easy Insight as we investigated the Highrise options.”

Panton McLeod Limited had no other collective reporting tool before Easy Insight, and the company was unable to review areas of positive and negative performance, and take any necessary collective actions as a result of such observations. “We had more than tripled in size on the back of a 73-percent increase in turnover from 2012 to 2013. Without the forecasting capability that Easy Insight gave us, we would not have had the confidence to push forward that aggressively—confident that we knew it [Easy Insight] fitted with our upcoming opportunities to do so,” Panton said.

In fact, Easy Insight significantly improved Panton Mcleod’s sales performance and forecast visibility not only by department, but by region, individual staff members, and customers.

“It [Easy Insight] also hugely improved the view of our daily, weekly, and monthly cashflow performance and forecast,” Panton said. “Immense value for the money for what it gives you. [Easy Insight] is also great for sending out daily email reports based on data that is pulled from Highrise automatically, everyday.”

While users do need a little understanding of database functions and data manipulations, Easy Insight is easily within the reach of a non-database expert to set-up, which enables its users to avoid pricey consultancy time that many other companies rely on.
